Location:
Bellevue 2, PCEC

Synopsis:
The use of monoclonal anti-CD38 (daratumumab and isatuximab) in treating multiple myeloma is a longstanding therapy that is expected to grow among this patient population. Presently, anti-CD38 therapy for light chain amyloidosis, anti-PLA2R antibody-positive membranous nephropathy, or other autoimmune mediated diseases are either under, or considered for investigation, indicating a continued expansion with its use and potentially growing number of patients receiving anti-CD38 therapy in the near future. To address the interference anti-CD38 has in pre-transfusion antibody screening and identification testing, Grifols has introduced a soluble form of CD38 (sCD38) for use in a rapid method to mitigate the interference by anti-CD38.

In this symposium, join us to hear the latest findings from two clinical studies and a transfusion laboratory setting based on patient sample testing.

These presentations will highlight the effectiveness of sCD38 in mitigating anti-CD38 interference and its value as a powerful tool for enhancing blood typing efficiency.
