Booking your travel to Perth
Perth Airport is an international, domestic and general aviation airport serving Perth, the capital city of Western Australia. It is the fourth busiest airport in Australia measured by passenger movements and falls within the boundaries of the City of Belmont, City of Kalamunda and the City of Swan.

It is strongly recommended that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover the duration of your visit to Australia.
On your arrival at Perth Airport
Please note that all food, plant and animal related material (such as feathers, skins or bone) must be declared on arrival and will be checked by officials. If in doubt, declare it. The process is usually very efficient, but failure to declare prohibited goods leads to severe penalties.

Climate
Perth enjoys a Mediterranean climate, experiencing mild winters. Mornings and evenings can be brisk so make sure to pack a thick, warm jacket. Wear layers that can be worn as needed. Perth's average temperature for October is 22 - 13°C.
Electricity
Australia uses a 240-volt 50 cycle system with 3 pin flat plugs.
Time
The time zone for Perth is 8 hours ahead of GMT.
Currency/Banking
The currency used is the Australian dollar. Banking hours are usually 0930 -1600hrs, Monday to Friday. Automatic Teller Machines are well spread throughout Perth's business district. International credit cards are accepted throughout the country banks, most hotels and city stores.
Good and Services Tax
Goods and Services in Australia are subject to a 10% tax (GST). This tax is usually included in the price and if not, it is clearly stated. The Tourist Refund Scheme (TRS) enables travellers to claim a refund of the goods and services tax (GST) and wine equalisation tax (WET) paid on some goods bought in Australia. PCEC provide safe, equitable, and inclusive access for all visitors including; lifts accessing all levels, designated accessible parking, wheelchair and companion seating, accessible unisex toilets throughout the centre, access for guide, hearing and assistance animals, free wheelchair use, and hearing loops installed in all meeting rooms. Childcare
Blood ISBT 2025 is an adult-focused event. children are not permitted in the exhibition space but are welcome in all public areas. While children are welcome in public areas of the conference center, they are not permitted within the exhibition space. For those attending with children, the safety and supervision of minors remain the sole responsibility of the accompanying adult, and Blood ISBT accepts no liability in this regard. Attendees will have an opportunity during registration to indicate if they require assistance with childcare, and we will provide further information.

Name badges will be given to all delegates on registration. We ask that you wear your badge at all times, including social functions. Entry tickets will be given for all social and optional events.
Dress
Dress for all scientific sessions and welcome reception is smart casual. Dress code for social functions to be advised.
